Tariq Taylor, M.D., Ph.D.

Dr. Tariq Taylor is a doctor currently working at North Canberra Hospital, Canberra, Australia, and has experience in sports and exercise medicine, critical care, emergency medicine, and internal medicine.

In addition to his M.D., Tariq obtained a Masters in Sport and Exercise Medicine and a Ph.D. in Human Metabolic Physiology from the University of Nottingham. His work involved investigating muscle mass and metabolic regulation in the context of resistance exercise, pharmacological intervention, and obesity.

Tariq is an avid sportsman, having played tennis and squash as a junior in Dubai, where he grew up, and continued at University, making the University of Nottingham Squash Team. He continues to play at a high level and also dabbles in middle-distance running. Outside of sports, his interests include cinema, literature, playing guitar, and existential philosophy.
